You live in a society that is plastered with weight loss tips, tricks, and ideas. There are ads on TV trying to sell you product X. There are weight loss studies you read about on the news. And there are late night infomercials touting their system as the latest breakthrough.

But when it comes down to it, there are a few unwritten rules to losing weight that will never change, no matter who says what. If you don't mind I'd like to share a few of these rules that will rid you of extreme body fat once and for all.

Let's start out by talking about your diet. I am not talking about the term diet that says to only eat 1 meal per day. I am talking about your healthy eating lifestyle. It's true that you should eat 6 meals per day. Isn't that awesome? You still get to eat every few hours to help lose weight. This beats the 3 square meals you were taught to eat.

You still can eat sweets. I find that fruits cure my desire for sweets over sweets themselves. You can easily lose a few pounds in the next couple of days just by changing the way you eat. However, eating alone isn't enough to sustain weight loss. It will help you drop those pesky 10 pounds, but it won't take care of the other 10. This is where exercise comes into play.

I recommend you lift weights at least 3 times per week. Usually on Monday, Wednesday, Friday Schedule. On the off days go ahead and do 30 minutes of cardio on a treadmill or your favorite cardio machine.

This might not sound like anything mind-blowing, but when it comes to losing weight some things never change.
